The price lists do not always specify whether the rate covers one or two players: at Conero, for example, the vehicle can carry a maximum of two people. Prices may change during the year: confirm before you travel.
Who may drive it and when it is not used
Conditions vary from club to club, and it is worth reading them beforehand:
- Age. At Fiuggi driving is forbidden to under-18s; at Conero to under-16s; at Pevero you need to be 18 and hold a driving licence.
- Wet ground. At Fiuggi the golf cart is not used in rain or on wet ground without authorisation from the secretary's office: sometimes you have to walk.
- Booking. At Courmayeur it must be booked the day before. Where the fleet is limited (Asiago has 30, Dolomiti 25), it is still wise to tell the secretary's office when you book your tee time.
If you do not want to spend that much, or the course is short, there is the alternative of the electric trolley, which in the 2026 price lists cited costs between €20 and €25 (Quellenhof Passeier, Petersberg, Fiuggi, Argentario). A manual trolley generally costs €5 to €10; at Pevero it is free.
When you really need one: practical criteria
A golf cart does not change the rules, it changes the effort. Here is when it makes sense:
- Reduced mobility or back and knee problems. A round of 18 holes on foot is long; the vehicle takes away the weight of the bag and the climbs. Some clubs also have adapted vehicles: at Antognolla, in Umbria, there are 7.5 kilometres of paths for golf carts and a golf cart for disabled players can be rented.
