At Courmayeur you play the river: the Dora runs through the course and two par 3s cross it. The nine-hole course in Val Ferret, at the foot of Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses, dates from the 1930s, when the Englishman Peter Gannon designed it, and was revised in the 1940s by Henry Cotton on the initiative of the Gilberti family.

The Golf Club Courmayeur course: nine holes along the Dora
The course dates from the 1930s and was designed by the Englishman Peter Gannon; it was revised in the 1940s by Henry Cotton, thanks to the foresight of the Gilberti family. The Aosta Valley tourist board dates the foundation to 1935. It is a nine-hole course with double tees, fairly flat, that follows the banks of the Dora and crosses it with two spectacular par 3s; all around rise the massifs of Mont Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses.
The overall par and length are published neither by the club nor by the tourist board, so they are not given here.
Playing at Golf Club Courmayeur as a guest
The 2026 rates divide the season into three bands. For 18 holes on weekdays the green fee is €59 from 29 May to 30 June and from 14 September to 11 October, €69 in July and from 1 to 13 September, €99 in August; at weekends €69, €79 and €99. Nine holes cost €42, €47 and €69 on weekdays. Juniors born after 1 January 2008 get a 30% discount, as do members of Aosta Valley clubs who live in the Aosta Valley.
The golf buggy costs €30 for 9 holes and €55 for 18 and must be booked the day before; an electric trolley for 18 holes is €27, a full set of clubs €35. Access to the practice areas costs €20 a day.
The course is open from late May to October: for 2026 the tourist board gives the period from 29 May to 4 October, while the price list runs until 11 October, so it is worth checking. General hours are 8 am to 7 pm. The required handicap and the closing day are not stated: the club office can be reached on +39 0165 89103.
The club: clubhouse, restaurant and Golf School
The renovated clubhouse keeps its mountain-chalet style and houses a bar, a restaurant, a buvette and a pro shop. The restaurant serves Aosta Valley cuisine: starters include matzon with mocetta, cured meats and local cheeses, followed by tagliolini with venison ragù, Aosta-style polenta with fontina and the escalope alla valdostana.
The Golf School is led by Laurent Morelli, coordinator and swing-analysis specialist with TrackMan, together with Riccardo Baldissoni and Chiara Brizzolari. For younger players there are the five-day Junior Golf Summer Camp and the Young People's Club, for ages 6 to 18.
