The course at Argentario Golf Club: 18 holes among olive and cork oak trees
The layout is an 18-hole par 71 of 6,295 metres, opened in 2006 and designed by the architect David Mezzacane together with the professional Baldovino Dassù, with Brian Jorgensen shaping the terrain. The club describes it with wide fairways winding between olive groves and cork oak woods, with numerous ponds in play, and with views of the Orbetello lagoon and the bay of Talamone. The area is a protected natural one, and the course holds BioAgriCert certification: maintenance uses only natural products.
The course has passed the test of the big events: in June 2025 it hosted the 82nd Italian Open, a DP World Tour event. Adrien Saddier won with 266 strokes (-14), two ahead of Martin Couvra. The club does not publish course rating, slope or a minimum handicap on its website: for these figures you need to contact the office.
Playing at Argentario Golf Club as a guest
The 2026 price list distinguishes three seasons. For 18 holes the green fee is 120 euros in low season (12 January to 31 March and 1 November to 23 December), 160 euros in spring and in October, 170 euros from June to September and around New Year. For 9 holes you pay 70, 90 or 100 euros; juniors under 18 have rates of 80 to 110 euros for 18 holes.
The golf buggy costs 55 euros for 18 holes and 45 for nine; the electric trolley 25 euros, the hand trolley 10. A Callaway bag can also be rented for 60 euros. A token for 25 balls costs 2.50 euros, daily access to the practice area 20 euros (15 for juniors). The club says the course is playable all year round thanks to the mild climate and constant breezes; prices are published for every period. Office: +39 0564 888 525.
The club: PGA National, academy and clubhouse
In 2019 the PGA, the professionals' association, chose Argentario as its national home for Italy: the club stresses that it is the only Italian course with the PGA National Golf Course Italy licence. In 2026 it celebrates its twentieth anniversary. The course is part of the Argentario Golf & Wellness Resort, a five-star Autograph Collection hotel with 73 rooms and suites.
The Argentario Golf Academy has a TrackMan IIIe simulator, the Capto system for putting analysis and an official fitting centre; the instructors are Ricardo Kleinert Iversson, Paolo De Salvatore and Riccardo Marin, and there is a Golf Camp for children.
The clubhouse has a pro shop and a panoramic terrace over the course and lagoon, with a Tuscan-cuisine restaurant at lunch and dinner.
