What data we process

You can use this site without creating an account and without filling in any form. When you visit a page, our server records technical data in its logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and device type. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working, and we delete them after 30 days at the latest. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, and our visit statistics (below) are set up without cookies. The fonts are hosted on our own server.

Visit statistics

We measure how the site is used with Matomo, configured to work without cookies: pages viewed, where visitors come from, device and browser type, and clicks on links to booking partners. We use this only in aggregate to improve the site, not to build profiles or to recognise you across websites. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by writing to the address above.

External services

Some page elements are loaded from third-party servers, which therefore receive your IP address: maps (OpenFreeMap, based on OpenStreetMap data), the map library (cdnjs, Cloudflare) and the photos of the experiences shown on course pages (GetYourGuide).

Links to booking partners

Hotel and experience buttons take you to Booking.com or GetYourGuide. From that moment their privacy policies apply. If you book, the partner may pay us a commission and tell us that a booking was made, but not who made it.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to its processing, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
