Golf in Trentino-South Tyrol
18 courses
Golf in Trentino-South Tyrol is played beneath the Dolomites, often at altitudes that elsewhere belong to skiers. The Golf Club Carezza, at 1,680 metres beneath the Catinaccio, is known as "The Mountain Beast" for the up to 400 metres of elevation change in a single round.
In Alta Badia the fairway of the 4th hole climbs to 1,800 metres, while St. Vigil Seis boasts, according to the club, one of the par 3s with the greatest drop in Europe. At Folgaria, at over 1,200 metres, the province's first public course opened in 1987. At Appiano, the Freudenstein castle looks out over the Sciliar and Bolzano.
