The Golf Club Roncegno course: nine holes along the Larganza
The course lies below Roncegno Terme, at 450 metres above sea level, with the Lagorai range and the Fravort, Panarotta and Gronlait mountains all around. The nine holes, par 34, measure just over 2,200 metres from the men's tees; the double round of 18 holes is a par 68.
The common thread, the club writes, is water. The Larganza stream descends from the springs of Fravort and forms several waterfalls along the course; the Brenta Vecchio, by contrast, rises from the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo. Between one watercourse and the next, the course crosses valley-floor woodland and runs alongside vineyards and orchards.
The scorecard alternates three consecutive par 3s, from the 6th to the 8th, with short par 4s and a single par 5, the 3rd, at 411 metres. According to the club, it is a course that makes you use every club in the bag.

Curiosities about Golf Club Roncegno
- Birdwatching on the course. Between the holes, the club says, it is not unusual to come across the white-throated dipper, the mallard and the grey heron, as well as woodpeckers, hoopoes, falcons and buzzards.
- Four-legged guests. Hares and roe deer sometimes visit the course; red deer and foxes are seen more rarely.
- A protected marsh next door. A few metres from the club lies the Palude di Roncegno biotope, with one of the last riparian valley-floor woods in Trentino.
- You can play with your feet, too. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon the course is open to members of Footgolf Trentino Alto Adige.
