Becoming a member of Golf Club Mirabell does not require living in the Puster Valley: one of the membership options is in fact reserved for those who live at least 200 kilometres away. Founded in 2002 and owned by the Hotel Mirabell Dolomites in Valdaora, the club has three holes in front of the hotel as its home course, crossed by a stream that runs down to a small pond.

The Golf Club Mirabell course: three holes at Kronplatz
More than a course, Mirabell is a well-equipped practice course. The three holes measure between 120 and 190 metres: two have three tees, one has two, and the greens, of about 300 m², are guarded by sand and grass bunkers. A stream crosses the course from north to south and flows into a small pond.
Beside the holes there is a complete practice area: a driving range with ten mats, six of them covered, and five target greens up to 150 metres; a 700 m² putting green with varied slopes and a chipping green with a bunker for the short game. It is the right place for anyone taking their first swings or wanting to work on a specific part of their game.
Who can play at Golf Club Mirabell
The course is free for guests of the Hotel Mirabell Dolomites, on two conditions: holding the course qualification and being a member of a recognised golf club. Anyone attending the in-house courses is exempt from both requirements. The hotel's website lists no green fee for outside players.
The golf school works in the fine season with PGA-certified professionals: individual and group lessons, video analysis, courses for children and teenagers, and multi-day courses to obtain the qualification. Clubs and balls are collected at reception, and the club rents and sells equipment. The Golf & Fun 2026 package, from 22 May to 1 November, starts at 1,171 euros per person and includes unlimited use of the course and free balls at the range.
The club: membership, handicap and tournaments
Golf Club Mirabell was founded in 2002 and has been affiliated with the Italian Golf Federation since November 2003: joining means having your handicap managed and being able to play on other courses. First-time membership costs 400 euros plus 100 for the federation card, 280 for hotel guests, and the club charges no admission fee. From May to October it organises a tournament every Tuesday on various courses in South Tyrol.
