Golf Club Sterzing

The course lies in the Vipiteno basin, flanked by the medieval castles of Reifenstein and Sprechenstein, five minutes from the Vipiteno motorway exit. The club is based at the Autopark Sadobre, in the municipality of Freienfeld.

The layout is a short 7-hole course, useful for sharpening short game and precision. The fairways are flat, especially at the start, which makes the course suitable for beginners too. The difficulty lies in the greens, mostly protected by water hazards that call for calibrated shots. The driving range is over 250 metres long and very wide, with a putting green and a chipping green for working on the short game around the green.

In the 2026 price list the daily green fee for the 7-hole course is 35 euros, with access to all facilities; the driving range with putting and chipping greens alone costs 5 euros, a basket of balls 3 euros. For frequent players there is a 10-day option at 270 euros.

The season runs from early April to late October: from 29 June to 27 September 2026 and from 28 September to 31 October 2026 the course is open every day from 9:30 am to 6 pm. The club pays close attention to teaching: there are beginner courses, improvement courses, programmes for children and young people and individual lessons with the Golf-Pro. Players can take the course-permit exam, known as the Platzreife.

The calendar includes a competition every Friday, with no prior registration, during which the driving range stays closed. The 2026 programme features the club's own Ryder Cup on 13 June, the tournament for the club's 30th anniversary on 11 July and the club championship on 19 September. For members, the standard 2026 fee is 600 euros and includes federation registration and handicap management.
