Facts checked on 18/10/2026

On the Tesino course the little lakes are protected biotopes: a ball that falls in is not played, it is dropped outside, without exception, as the red stake with a green tip reminds you. That is the character of a nine-hole course from 1992 on Coldanè hill, in the Tesino basin, which the club calls a “mountain links” where human hands shaped only the greens and tees.

The Tesino Golf Club course: nine holes around Coldanè hill

The course, opened in 1992, covers about 40 hectares above and around Coldanè hill, in the middle of the Tesino basin. The terrain is gently rolling, with water hazards, and the difficulty level is described as sporting, of medium difficulty. The club calls it, with full justification, a mountain links, because people designed only the greens and tees and the natural shape of the land does the rest. It has nine holes and a par 70 over the 18-hole round, achieved with double tees: from the yellow tee the length is 5,693 metres (CR 70.2, slope 129), from the red 5,013 metres (CR 71.4, slope 129).

Hole 1, a par 4 of 377 metres, is the hardest: an undulating, elevated green, exposed to a wind you cannot feel from the fairway, with out of bounds on the right along the whole hole. The 2nd is a short par 4, 300 metres, with two biotopes; the 3rd, 262 metres, has a small green guarded by a large biotope, and the choice is: carry it or end up in the water. The 4th, 403 metres, is the longest par 4; the 5th, 460 metres, is the only par 5, with a sloping fairway and a final climb to the green.

Holes 6 and 8 have double tees: the 6th is a par 3 of 157 metres on the first loop and 137 on the second; the 8th, a par 4 of 355 and 335 metres, is judged the most technical, with a teardrop green and a single hidden bunker on the right. At the 7th the second shot is blind, and before leaving the tee you must switch on the safety flashing light. The finish, a par 3 of 170 metres, drops from the hill towards the clubhouse with five bunkers guarding the green.

Playing Tesino Golf Club as a guest

For 2026 the club publishes a price list for non-members: 30 euros for 18 holes and 20 for nine on ordinary days; in July and August and on public holidays you pay 35 euros for 18 holes and 25 for nine. There are discounts for juniors and students.

Those who wish to join will find the 2026 fees: 550 euros for the full member, plus the FIG card at 100 euros; 100 euros for the newcomer, plus 10 for the card. The website states neither the required handicap, nor the closing day, nor whether golf carts and trolleys can be hired: it is best to write to [email protected] or call 350 533 2726.

One rule worth knowing: you may not enter the biotopes, marked by a red stake with a green tip, to play a shot. The ball must be dropped from outside, without exception.

The club: clubhouse and practice area

Tesino Golf Club “La Farfalla” is an amateur sports association based in the Coldanè locality of Pieve Tesino. For practice there is a driving range with nine bays, two of them covered, and a putting green. The club also has a restaurant, reached on 347 279 1511, and a clubhouse that the last hole leads up to.

The club presents the course as suitable for players of every level: for newcomers the wide spaces forgive errors off the tee, while experienced players find the challenge in hitting the greens and reading their slopes. The competition calendar is published on the website.
