The course at Green Club Golf Lainate: 18 holes among lakes and streams

The club was founded in 1984, but the 18-hole course was opened and approved in 2004. The club describes it as of medium difficulty, yet also technical and delicate: the four lakes and numerous streams reward those who can keep the ball in play more than those who simply seek distance.

For those who do not know the layout, the website shows a short video of the 1st hole, filmed in spring, and provides the playing handicap tables for 18 and 9 holes, useful for working out in advance which tee is best to start from.

Playing at Green Club Lainate as a guest

The course is open seven days a week and is accessible to players who are FIG members with a minimum GA qualification; those who are NA (not qualified) may play only when accompanied by an FIG-PGA professional. At weekends and on holidays the club recommends booking a tee time on 02 9370869 or by e-mail.

On the price list published on the website (headed 2027), the 18-hole green fee is €55 on weekdays and €70 at weekends and on holidays; for nine holes the price is €40 and €50. Juniors under 18 and AGIS members get a 50% discount, while hotel guests pay €44 and €56.

There are 12 golf buggies, electric two-seaters: €25 for nine holes and €40 for 18; a trolley costs €5, an electric one €15. The driver must be at least 16 years old and, if a minor, an adult must be present. On the course, buggies may not travel on the paths, except to cross a hole. Full Callaway sets (€25) and individual irons (€3) can also be hired.

The club: Trackman practice range, school and hotel

The practice range has 24 covered bays on two levels; twelve are lit and remain open until 9:30 pm. All use the Trackman Range: twelve have a screen with real-time shot data, the others connect to a smartphone through the Trackman Golf app. The daily entrance fee is €10 (€5 for under-27s) and a token for 24 balls costs €2. Jeans, tracksuits and low-cut T-shirts are not allowed at the practice range.

Training is completed by a putting green and a chipping green with bunker. The school has four FIG-PGA professionals and offers lessons from beginners to competitive players, also using the Trackman.

The Golf Hotel, a four-star property with 34 rooms on a single floor, tennis and a summer swimming pool, shares the secretary's office, bar and restaurant with the club. The rooms look out on the course on one side and on the pool on the other.
