The Barlassina Country Club course: 18 parkland holes in the Groane
The club presents the course as one of the most iconic parkland courses in Lombardy, among the woods of the Groane Park. The 18 holes are signed by the Englishman John S. F. Morrison, with the collaboration of Donald Harradine; the listing of the regional tourist board inLombardia adds that the layout was later brought to its current par 72 by John D. Harris and Marco Croze. The same body gives a length of 6,135 metres.
The grounds combine varied and well-articulated vegetation with a course that the club describes as engaging: some holes demand strategy, others precision. The website does not publish a scorecard, course rating or hole-by-hole descriptions, so they are not given here. What is known is that at the end of the 9th hole there is the buvette and that from the restaurant terrace you can see the 10th hole.

The office is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8 am to 6:30 pm during daylight saving time and from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm during standard time. According to inLombardia the course is closed on Mondays (except public-holiday Mondays) and for a break from 20 December to 20 January.
The club's website does not publish the green fee price list, the handicap limit or the arrangements for guests. For tee times, write to [email protected] or call 0362 560621/560622; competition entries and services such as golf carts and trolleys are requested at [email protected] or on WhatsApp (text only) at +39 331 9016469.
The club: history, guesthouse, restaurant and academy
The club was born in the 1950s, when a group of friends turned their passion for golf into a shared project; the website gives 1954 as the reference year. In 1961 Michelangelo Antonioni chose it as a location for La Notte. The clubhouse has a meeting room, a private room, the library and large changing rooms; services for members include tennis, a swimming pool (also reserved for guesthouse guests) and a gym with golf-specific equipment.
The Guesthouse, inside the clubhouse, has 8 double rooms with air conditioning, minibar, TV and free Wi-Fi, in vintage or more modern style. The restaurant has a glass-walled dining room and a terrace over the 10th hole and serves Italian and regional cuisine; there are also the buvette at the 9th hole and the Vintage Bar.
The practice range is 230 metres long, with covered and natural-grass bays, and the website says it can be used from March (until November or December, the pages differ). The BCC Golf Academy organises individual and group courses for adults and children, with the Junior Team for young people from 6 to 18.
