Golf Club Le Vigne

Golf Club Le Vigne was created in the early 1990s on gently rolling and pleasantly undulating ground at the foot of Custoza hill, 3 kilometres from the Sommacampagna motorway exit. The course has 18 holes; the website does not publish total par and length, but it describes every hole: adding up the sheets gives seven par 3s, seven par 4s and four par 5s.

The difficulties are mostly about precision. The 1st is a par 4 with a small stream crossing the fairway and a green guarded by two bunkers. The 3rd is a long par 3, free of hazards up to the green, which slopes steeply from left to right. The 9th is a short par 3 with a pond in front of the green and two bunkers. The 11th is a long par 5 with out of bounds on the left all the way and an uphill green; the 15th has a green half-surrounded by a long horseshoe bunker. On the 17th, a par 5 with a 90-degree dogleg, the boldest can cut the corner, risking the tall trees and out of bounds.

For practice there are the driving range with 12 bays (6 covered and floodlit), three executive holes, a putting green and a pitching green. The TrackMan Range uses radar and a simulator to play the holes virtually from the tee.

The course is open all year, every day during daylight hours, and day players are admitted. The green fee can be booked online on the website or by phoning 045 630 55 72. The site publishes two price lists with different amounts, one undated and one labelled Listini 2026: for 18 weekday holes the range is 35 to 45 euros, with discounts for driving range members and higher rates for players not registered in Italy. It is therefore advisable to confirm the amount when booking.

You can hire buggies and trolleys (the manual one costs 5 euros), and annual, monthly and daily bag storage is available. The rules require dress in keeping with golf etiquette and forbid playing with practice-range balls; teams of more than four players must be authorised by the office.

Since 2014 the club has been run by the Adami family, who have brought membership to 450. Besides golf, Le Vigne organises events with more than 6,000 attendees and has made footgolf a distinctive feature, with more than 5,000 players in 2019; the complex also includes a padel club.

The clubhouse is an informal setting: the bar serves everything from breakfast to a quick lunch of snacks, pizzas and sandwiches, and aperitifs are taken in the shade of a portico. Upstairs there is a large hall for meetings and events, even in winter. The teaching professional Aleardo Montini, a PGAI pro, gives individual and group lessons; the club also has a junior club, a schools project and a competitive team; the golf shop is on the premises.

• A seven-seven-four. The 18 holes split into seven par 3s, seven par 4s and four par 5s.
• A pond on the 9th and the 12th. Two short par 3s have a pond in front of the green.
• Steeply sloping greens. On the 3rd the green slopes from left to right, on the 8th it is small and steep.
