Boffenigo - The Golden Hour

Boffenigo has no course of its own, but it has three golf packages with 18-hole green fees included, to be played at affiliated clubs. The Golf Start Experience lasts 4 nights with breakfast and includes 2 green fees per person, unlimited access to the wellness area and a sunset aperitif on the terrace. The Golf Balance Experience lasts 6 nights, with 4 green fees per person, a 50-minute recovery massage and late check-out subject to availability. The Golf & Private Recovery Escape lasts 7 nights: 5 green fees, an evening in the private spa with an aperitif and a 50-minute couples' massage. In every package tee times are booked through reception.

The best-known course in the area is Ca' degli Ulivi in Marciaga, Costermano: 18 holes among olive groves and ponds, with views of Lake Garda and Monte Baldo from some positions, and a Golf Academy with driving range, putting green and approach green.

Boffenigo describes itself as a 4-star superior hotel and builds on light: the Golden Hour of its name is the moment when, the hotel writes, the landscape lights up in warm reflections. From the top of the Costermano hills the view opens onto one of the widest panoramas of eastern Lake Garda.

The largest room is the Spa Suite: 90 m² for two guests, with a private sauna and Turkish bath, an outdoor whirlpool and a 30 m² panoramic terrace. The Suite with Whirlpool measures 60 m² with a 20 m² terrace. Room types also include Junior Suites with lake views or with a terrace or garden, Prestige, Superior, Comfort and Standard doubles and the Family Suite. For dogs the hotel provides a welcome gift and the Junior Suite with a 30 m² fenced terrace or a veranda onto the garden.

The completely renovated Aurum Spa offers a circuit with sauna, biosauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool, experiential showers and ice waterfall, plus relaxation zones, a herbal tea area and a gym with Technogym equipment. The whole spa can be reserved for two people on request.

The heated indoor pool is open from 8 am to 7 pm; outside, in the park with lake views, there is the outdoor pool with a pool bar and, once a week, a yoga session. Separately there is the thermal tub: the water of the Fonte Boffenigo contains, according to the hotel, magnesium, bicarbonates, silica and CO2.

The restaurant La Terrazza del Boff serves Mediterranean cuisine built on seasonal ingredients and a pizza "in the Boffenigo way", with a panoramic view of the lake. The hotel also serves breakfast and brunch, light lunch and aperitifs with cocktails.

• Water from the glaciers. The water of the Fonte Boffenigo is said to have seeped into Monte Baldo at the end of the last glaciation, about 10,000 years ago, according to the hotel.
• A suite with its own sauna. The 90 m² Spa Suite has a sauna, Turkish bath and outdoor whirlpool in the room.
• An assistant that never sleeps. He is called Ernesto, he is virtual and answers guests' questions: why he has that name, the hotel says, you have to ask him.
• A spa for two. The entire Aurum Spa can be booked exclusively, with a tasting to share.
• Yoga in the park. Once a week, among the olive trees.
