The Golf Club Verona course: 18 holes among the Custoza hills
The layout is hilly, with demanding slopes only in places, and it changes character midway through the round. The first nine holes are, in the club's words, tight and shorter; the second nine are very long but wider. The result is an 18-hole course of 6,075 metres and par 72.
The technical level is high: from the back tees the course rating is 73.7 with a slope of 142 for men, and 75 with a slope of 134 for women. Complicating the plan of attack are the raised greens, which punish inaccurate approaches and force you to judge the distance carefully.
On the course, the changes in elevation make each hole different from the last and, according to the club, offer views that accompany play from the first hole to the last, with the Verona mountains in the background.
Playing Golf Club Verona as a guest
The club publishes a green fee price list for outside players. In 2026 an 18-hole round costs 90 euros on weekdays and 110 on weekends and holidays from March to June, in July and August, and in September and October; from November to February the price falls to 70 euros on weekdays and 90 on weekends and holidays. For nine holes it ranges from 50 to 70 euros.
Rental costs 55 euros for a golf cart over 18 holes, 20 euros for an electric trolley and 40 euros for clubs (20 for nine holes). There are also ten-entry packages, at 560 euros on weekdays and 800 at weekends. Required handicap and closing day are not given on the website: it is best to phone the secretary's office, on 045 510060, before booking a tee time.
