Venice in autumn: the Art Biennale and the Music Biennale
The 2026 Art Biennale runs from 9 May to 22 November 2026; the Music Biennale takes place from 10 to 24 October 2026, with tickets sold exclusively on the Biennale's website. The 2026 Film Biennale closed on 12 September.
The Hotel Excelsior on the Lido is, according to the hotel, the home of the Venice Film Festival since 1932. For golf there is the Circolo Golf Venezia at Alberoni, 18 holes, par 72, with a links character: in 2026 the green fee is 95 euros on weekdays and 110 on public holidays, with a winter rate of 60 euros; the club is closed on Mondays. The hotel estimates about 20 minutes by car.
April: the Salone del Mobile
The Salone del Mobile.Milano returns on 13-18 April 2027 at Fiera Milano, in Rho, according to the official website. For those who want to combine it with a round, the best-known club in the area is the Golf Club Milano in Monza Park: 27 holes, with Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays reserved for members and their guests.
May: vintage cars at Villa d'Este
In May the Villa d'Este hosts, according to the hotel, the Concorso d'Eleganza, the vintage car show held here since 1929; for the 2027 dates it is best to ask the hotel. The Montorfano course is played from March to December, every day except Tuesday, and tee times are booked through the hotel's Guest Relations; the Circolo Golf Villa d'Este is about 14 km away. For winter, the hotel's festive programme runs from 1 December 2026 to 7 January 2027.
Summer: Arena di Verona and the Puccini Festival
The Arena di Verona Opera Festival will take place in 2027 from 11 June to 11 September: it is the 104th edition, according to the website. On the Veronese shore of Lake Garda the Quellenhof Lazise has no course of its own but lists twelve courses within an hour and twenty minutes by car; the Golf Club Verona in Sommacampagna, open since 1963, sits among the hills of Custoza and the vineyards.
The Puccini Festival, in its 73rd edition in 2027 at Torre del Lago, has a programme published from 9 July to 29 August: La rondine (110th anniversary), Turandot, Tosca, Madama Butterfly, La bohème and the Trittico. On the coast the Versilia Golf Club, in Pietrasanta, is an 18-hole par 71 by Marco Croze (1990).
September: the regattas on the Costa Smeralda
The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda publishes for 2026 the Rolex TP52 World Championship (15-20 June), the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup (6-12 September) and the Rolex Swan Cup (13-19 September): they are already over, and the 2027 dates are not yet on the website. For those choosing the Costa Smeralda, the Cala di Volpe offers golfers the Pevero Golf Club: in 2026 the green fee ranges from 120 to 180 euros, with the highest rate from 20 July to 16 August.
