The Golf Bellosguardo course: 9 holes among the olive trees of Vinci

The course occupies the hills overlooking Vinci: a layout of 9 holes with double starting tees, gently rolling, set among olive trees and vines. The club gives a length of about 5,815 metres and a par 71 over 18 holes, and describes it as one of the most fascinating courses in Italy: a verdict from the interested party, but backed up by praise from foreign golfers on Leading Courses.

The greatest curiosity is stated by the Tuscan tourist board: every hole is dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, with a trail through the life and inventions of the genius. The club’s website does not publish a hole-by-hole guide, and for this reason we do not give any details of the holes.

The club has a driving range, a putting green and a pitching green.

Playing Golf Bellosguardo as a guest

The course is open Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays: from April to October from 8.30 am to 6 pm, from November to March from 9 am to 5 pm (on Saturdays and Sundays from 8.30 am). There is a short break in August and another in February.

The daily price list published on the website, headed 2027, distinguishes high season (April–October) from low season (November–March): on weekdays the daily green fee costs €60 in high season and €50 in low season, at weekends and on public holidays €75 and €60. The afternoon rate and 9 holes cost €50 or €40 on weekdays and €55 or €45 at weekends and on public holidays; players from affiliated clubs pay €45 or €40, juniors €40 (€30 for nine holes). A golf cart costs €50 for 18 holes in high season (€45 in low season) and €40 for nine, an electric trolley €20 and a manual one €10. The website does not state a minimum handicap.

The club: farm, pool and golf school

On the estate stands the Fattoria Bellosguardo, with four rooms (sleeping up to eight) in Tuscan style; the farm produces red and white wines and extra virgin olive oil, which can be tasted and bought. The airports of Florence and Pisa are, according to the website, 30 and 40 kilometres away.

The swimming pool is open to members and non-members from Tuesday to Sunday. For learners there is the instructor Luca Ravinetto, a PGAI professional since 1997, with individual and group lessons for adults and young people; a trial package offers three one-hour lessons with access to the practice area for two months for €99, clubs included. In 2022 the club ranked fourth in Tuscany and first among the 9-hole courses in the Leading Courses Golfers’ Choice ranking; for 2026 it states that it is in the Italian top ten for facilities, surroundings, restaurant and value for money.
