Before the fairways, there was an illegal dump here. Golf Club Parco di Firenze was founded in Isolotto in 2000 by a group of enthusiasts who, at first, hit their opening shots on the neighbouring football pitch while waiting for the driving range grass to grow. The course is a rated nine-hole layout, par 31, made up of five par 3s and four par 4s. The club does not publish the length or the name of an architect. A par 31 with more par 3s than par 4s already tells you it is a short layout. The price list also includes a rate for 18 holes.

The club: history, school and clubhouse
The club was born in 2000 from a group of enthusiasts led by Giuliano Bagnoli, its future president, on land that had been an illegal dump. It has been based in Isolotto since 2001, with 150 members already enrolled; in 2004 there were 500 FIG cardholders out of about 600 members.
The Club dei Giovani runs courses for young people, and the club has brought golf into primary and middle schools, during physical education classes. The website lists private lessons and beginner, intermediate and qualification courses. The clubhouse, with bar, restaurant and pro shop, is awaiting a concession for its renovation.
