The Golf Montecatini Terme course: 18 holes among olive trees and cypresses

The course at Pievaccia, in Monsummano Terme, has 18 holes, par 72, over 5,857 metres. It was designed by Marco Croze. The landscape is that of the Tuscan countryside: more than 2,000 olive trees, centuries-old cypresses and a panorama that the regional tourist board puts front and centre.

The ground is not flat. The gentle slopes typical of the area demand, writes Visit Tuscany, great precision in every shot. The published course ratings range from 67.3 to 73.4 and the slopes from 126 to 137, depending on the tees. The club provides the course map and layouts of all 18 holes on its website, so that every shot can be studied before teeing off.

The offering is completed by a practice range, covered practice bays and a short-game area.

Playing Golf Montecatini Terme as a guest

The club is open from Monday to Sunday, except Tuesday, from 8 am to 7 pm. Tee times can be booked online through the website or by phoning 0572 62218. In the 2026 price list the base rate for the green fee is 70 euros for 18 holes and 40 euros for nine; the website sets out specific rates for hotel guests, for members of Tuscan clubs and for visitors not affiliated to an Italian club, which must be requested from the club office.

Golf carts can be hired (from 70 euros for 18 holes for the new model, from 46 for members), as well as electric trolleys (20 euros) and golf bags (50 euros); entry to the practice range costs 10 euros. For frequent players there are multi-round packs: ten 18-hole green fees for 500 euros, twenty for 900. The website does not state a minimum handicap.

The club: clubhouse, restaurant and rooms

The clubhouse houses the restaurant, which the club describes as Tuscan cooking with a terrace overlooking the last hole, open to visitors too: Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 10:30 pm, at weekends from 11 am to 11 pm. The menu follows the seasons and the wine list looks to Chianti.

You can also stay on site: the club has rooms a few minutes from the first tee, with seasonal rates published on the website, and a swimming pool. The pro shop sells clothing bearing the club logo, and the club hosts competitions throughout the season, with a calendar available online. Those wishing to join will find the 2026 membership fees on the website, including weekday, family and practice-range-only options.
