Behind Botanic Golf Sacuba stands a plant-nursery farming company, and it shows: the nine holes were laid out inside a botanic garden of mastic, cork oaks, olive trees and myrtle, on the hills of the Nuragic area of Pedres, on the edge of Olbia.

The Botanic Golf Sacuba course: 9 holes among Sardinian plants
The course takes its name from the locality where it was born and spreads over 25 hectares of hilly land in the Nuragic area of Pedres. It is a nine-hole par 36: five par 4s, two par 5s and two par 3s, for 2,379 metres when the club's distances are added up. The design uses vegetation as a hazard: mastic, cork oaks, olive trees and myrtle grow along the perimeters, among stretches of flowering meadows. To spare the area's water reserves, the turf was seeded with grass mixes that need little water.
The numbers describe a course of contrasts. The two par 5s, the 2nd (445 metres) and the 7th (455), are the long holes; the 8th, by contrast, is a par 3 of just 90 metres, a wedge shot. In between come a run of par 4s of 229 to 320 metres, where accuracy counts for more than distance.
Playing Botanic Golf Sacuba as a guest
The 2026 price list follows three seasons. Nine holes cost 35 euros in low season (January to mid-March and November–December), 45 in mid season and 60 in high season, from 16 June to 15 September; eighteen holes, that is two rounds, cost 60, 80 and 100 euros. Those who play often can buy the five-round packages.
You can rent a golf cart (30 euros for nine holes, 45 for eighteen), a golf bag (30 and 35 euros) and a trolley (5 euros). Tee times are booked by phone on the dedicated golf number.
Academy, resort and stone bar
The Botanic Golf Academy has a driving range of over 300 metres, a putting green and a chipping area, with a view towards Tavolara island. Beside the course are 12 rustic lodgings of 30 square metres, clad in Orosei marble and facing west for the sunset; a stay includes breakfast, Wi-Fi, access to the two swimming pools and, for golfers, to the practice area. The stone bar serves Sardinian products: pane carasau, cured meats, cheeses, beers and wines.
Curiosities about Botanic Golf Sacuba
- A course made by nurserymen. The resort is run by a farming company that grows plants: hence the botanic garden that serves as the course.
- Ninety metres. The 8th is a par 3 of just 90 metres: the shot from the shortest tee of the round.
- Nuraghi and castles. Around the course stand the medieval Pedres Castle and the giants' tombs of the Nuragic age.
- The shell marble. The lodgings are clad in Orosei marble, whose shades, the resort explains, are due to fossils of shells and corals.
