The man who built Italy's first washing machine in 1946, Candy founder Peppino Fumagalli, spent the 1980s creating a small village on the Gallura coast with its own harbour, piazza, hotel and golf course. Those nine holes, the sixth set above the rocks, are still at the centre of Due Lune, now run by the family's third generation.

Golf at Due Lune: the nine holes of Golf Club Puntaldia
Golf Club Puntaldia sits within the resort grounds, so the first tee is a short walk from your room. It is a nine-hole layout through Mediterranean scrub along the coast, made up mostly of par 3s with three par 4s. The club calls the holes "technical", and the one people talk about is the 6th, which the club describes as sheer above the sea, on the rocks.
The practice range has covered and open bays, a putting green and shot-analysis technology, and teaching is run by the David Leadbetter Golf Academy for all abilities. Green fees and lessons are paid at the club office; carts and full bags can be hired, and there is a bag room for your clubs.
The club's 2026 rate card covers three seasons from 1 April to 10 November, with high season 26 July to 31 August, and notes that dates follow the resort's opening periods. For 18 holes, look north: Puntaldia season members get 20% off green fees at Pevero.

Its 65 rooms and suites come in six categories, from the Classic (20-32 m²), whose ground-floor versions open onto a small balcony or the garden, to the Suite sulla Luna, 40 m² plus a 35 m² terrace. Beyond the private beach and sea-view pool there are tennis and padel courts, and boats can be rented in Puntaldia's small marina. The hotel arranges paid transfers from the airport and ferry port.
Dining and spa at Due Lune Puntaldia
The main restaurant, Blue Moon, serves Mediterranean food built on traditional Sardinian produce. For the resort's 40th anniversary in 2023, the studio Castagna 1939 redesigned it with a yacht-cabin feel and large sliding glass walls facing the island of Tavolara. The Luna Nuova Cafè and the Gazebino, a pool and beach bar, complete the picture.
The Mediterranean Beauty Spa uses Biologique Recherche products and has three treatment rooms, one for couples, plus a wet area with a Turkish bath, sauna and experience showers, open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm. Children get five activity tracks, from water sports to a farm programme.
