Golf in Friuli Venezia Giulia

8 courses

Golf in Friuli speaks several languages: at Tarvisio, at 750 metres, the Golf Senza Confini plays a few minutes from the border crossings with Austria and Slovenia, and its motto is "One club. Three countries."

Further south the landscape changes: among the pines of Lignano, which hosted the Italian Women's Open in 1993 and 1994, and at Grado, home of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Open, the sea is close. At Padriciano, on the Trieste Karst, the club founded in 1955 claims to be the region's first golf course; at Castel d'Aviano the Piancavallo mountains form the backdrop.
