The Salsomaggiore Golf & Thermae course: 18 holes among lakes and hills

The course covers 70 hectares of rolling land, in a green, quiet valley at 360 metres above sea level, in Contignaco, on the hills around the spa town. The design by Carlo Quintelli dates from 1992 and was completely renovated in 2018. It has 18 holes, par 72, over 5,761 yards, or roughly 5,270 metres.

The Emilia Golf consortium guide describes it as a “short course with demanding greens”, suited to all levels. Its character comes from the water hazards: three lakes come into play on five of the 18 holes, in a landscape that the tourist board describes as suitable for players of every level.
