Arnold Palmer designed three courses in Italy, and Ca' della Nave was the first: it was opened in 1988 by the Italian Ladies' Open. Palmer took his inspiration from nearby Venice and scattered the course with water hazards, which come into play on 12 of the 18 holes of the championship layout, inside an ancient park with a sixteenth-century villa.

The Ca' della Nave Golf Club course: Arnold Palmer among lakes and bunkers

On 75 hectares Palmer laid out two courses: the Championship, 18 holes, par 72, 6,350 metres, and a nine-hole executive. The course opened in 1988 with the Italian Ladies' Open and is the first of the three Palmer designed in Italy in the late 1980s.

The idea was to take inspiration from nearby Venice, filling the course with water: the artificial lakes affect 12 of the 18 holes. The rest is done by the American-style bunkers, large and in some cases immense, guarding wide, fast greens. According to the club, at the beginning the doglegs let good players take a few shortcuts, but as the trees have grown the liberties are now much smaller.

The 18th ends with the green in a natural amphitheatre inside the park. The club ranks Ca' della Nave among the best competition courses built in Italy.

The club: sixteenth-century villa, Academy and restaurant

Ca' della Nave is a sixteenth-century villa surrounded by one of the largest ancient parks in the Venetian landscape; it also hosts weddings, events and meetings. The Le Serre restaurant, renovated in 2016 and back under the club's direct management in 2017, has more than a hundred seats indoors, which multiply when the glass doors onto the three swimming pools are opened. The restaurant serves from 12 to 3 pm, the bar from 9 am to 7 pm, every day; there is no pizzeria.

The Golf Academy is run by the federal coach Davide Villa, at the club since February 2011 and Trackman-certified, joined since 2020 by Marco Righetto. It offers packages of ten lessons, beginner courses for four or six players and a deal with three months of driving range.
