The course at Golf Club Albisola: 9 holes between the Sansobbia and the Erchi
The architect Graham Cooke designed a flat course in the Ligurian landscape, between the Sansobbia river and the Erchi hill, with olive trees marking the course. The 9 holes are played with double tees: over 18 holes the par is 65 (32 on the first part, 33 on the second) and the length from the men's tees is 4,066 metres, 3,609 from the women's.
The course is short but not uniform. Over 18 holes there are nine par 3s, some very short, like the 5th and 6th, at 104 and 112 metres; the 4th, a 350-metre par 4, is the hardest hole on the course (handicap 1). The longest is the 8th, a 413-metre par 5.
Near the restaurant is the driving range: 5 covered bays (in wood and copper), 5 open-air, a panoramic putting green, a dedicated bunker and an area for approach shots.
Playing at Golf Club Albisola as a guest
The course is open every day, in every season. The 2026 price list for non-members shows a day ticket of 40 euros, 50 euros in the summer period from 1 May to 30 September and 35 euros for the afternoon ticket (from 2 pm, in summer). Those with an agreement pay 35, 40 and 30 euros. The driving range costs 10 euros a day; for frequent players there are a 10-entry carnet (350 euros) and monthly, summer and winter memberships.
You can rent a pull trolley (5 euros), electric trolley (15), bag (10) and golf cart by reservation (for non-members 25 euros for nine holes, 40 for 18). The website does not state a minimum handicap.
The club: clubhouse, restaurant, school and footgolf
The clubhouse brings together separate changing rooms with showers and bag storage, a meeting room, a proshop and a relaxation area with a bar. The restaurant, run independently by the club and open to everyone, offers Ligurian and Sardinian cuisine, seasonal dishes and a selected wine list.
The school is run by the instructor Lorenzo Scala, a professional since 2013, with individual lessons using TrackMan 4 and fitting sessions with PING and TaylorMade. The club organises the ASA circuit, which links three Ligurian clubs in an 18-hole challenge, and seasonal challenges such as the Winter, Spring and Summer Challenge, as well as the summer evenings of 9 Buche al Tramonto. It also hosts footgolf: it is the training venue of the ASD Bitta Footgolf Team.
