The Nuova Aprica Orobie Golf Club course: a practice range at altitude
The Nuova Aprica Orobie Golf Club is not an 18-hole layout but a practice range: so says the club itself, which built it on a concession area in the Aprica resort, in Valtellina, precisely in the beginners' area, contrada San Pietro, an integral part of the ski area where novices take their first steps on skis.
The facility offers a practice range about 200 metres long, a pitching green and an area for practising from turf. It is also equipped to let children and beginners try golf. The club cites the pleasantness of the place, interest in the sport and commitment in its management among the reasons for the growth in membership since its founding.
The website publishes neither the number of bays nor a hole layout.
Joining the Nuova Aprica Orobie Golf Club
The centre operates as a members' club: for 2026 enrolments, open from 3 February, the practice-range membership fee is 150 euros for adult members and 50 euros for juniors (aged 6 to 18), with a FIG card included. To join, you need the completed form, a copy of an identity card, the signed privacy consent and the bank-transfer receipt, to be sent to [email protected].
The website publishes no green fees, opening hours or closing days: to find out whether and how the range can be tried, it is best to write to the office or phone 347 4325561.
For 2026 the club also lists partner clubs: Golf Valtellina, Colline del Gavi, Villa Paradiso, Brianza, Borgo Camuzzago, Lecco, Acaya, Bergamo, Franciacorta, Bormio and Ponte di Legno.
The club: Aprica, at 1,180 metres
Aprica, the club points out, lies at an altitude of 1,180 metres above sea level and is a summer and winter resort where, besides golf, a variety of sports are practised. Nearby there are restaurants, bars and play areas for children.
The office is based at Corso Roma 150, in Aprica. On its website the club publishes its statutes, the enrolment form, the consent form for minors and the privacy notice. The club also has an Instagram profile, nuova_apricaorobie_golfclub.
