Villasimius's par 70 is deceptive: from the white tees the slope is 140, a figure for a demanding course. The club says it plainly: the layout calls for technique, precision and concentration, across 40 hectares of Mediterranean scrub overlooking the Capo Carbonara marine protected area.

The Tanka Golf Villasimius course: 18 holes above Capo Carbonara
The eighteen holes wind across roughly 40 hectares between Mediterranean scrub and the sea, with a view of the Capo Carbonara marine protected area. In 2007 the magazine Il Mondo del Golf named them the best new course in Italy.
The numbers describe a short course, 5,393 metres for a par 70, but the playing values say otherwise: from the white tees the course rating is 71.5 and the slope 140. The two halves are very different. The front nine, par 34 with three par 3s, are more demanding and call for a good variety of shots; the hardest on the index is the 8th, a 346-metre par 4. The back nine, par 36, are flatter and hold the course's three par 5s, at the 12th, 14th and 16th: that is where the score is built.

The club promotes golf all year round, with hours from 8 am to 7 pm. The 2026 rate list divides the year into four bands: 18 holes cost €100 in August, €90 in June, July and September, €75 in low season (April–May and from 1 October to 2 November) and €60 in winter. Nine holes range from €40 to €55, and cardholders in Sardinia pay reduced rates.
A golf buggy costs €50 for 18 holes, €40 in winter; a rental bag €40 for 18 holes and €25 for nine. The practice area, with eight covered and fifteen open bays, costs €15, and there is a putting green. The website gives no closing day or minimum handicap: it is best to ask the office on 347 1724373.
Curiosities about Tanka Golf Villasimius
- Short but severe. At 5,393 metres it is shorter than many par 70s, but the slope of 140 from the white tees puts it among the demanding courses.
- All the par 5s on the way back. The 12th, 14th and 16th are the only par 5s on the course, all on the back nine.
- Between salt air and scrub. The club describes the Villasimius coast as the “Polynesia of the Mediterranean”.
- Winter bargain. From November to March the green fee drops to €60, the lowest of the year.
