The Golf Club Salerno course: nine holes, par 34, in Pontecagnano
The Golf Club Salerno course is a nine-hole, par 34 layout, the first and so far only course designed expressly for golf in the province, according to the club. Its story begins in 1999, when the building of the first course set a club born of the passion of a few amateurs on its way.
For the more demanding competitions the course is played twice: the double white round appears in the calendar events, and the 2026 club championship is played over 36 holes on two consecutive days, in medal stroke play, with 36 players admitted and playing handicap capped at 36.
The club also tells of an “ideal” round: the Score d'oro collects the 18 best holes played during the double white competitions of the 2021 calendar.
