The course at Golf Club Monferrato: 9 holes at the gateway to the UNESCO hills
The course lies at the gateway to the Monferrato hills, in the middle Po valley, within a protected area where, the club says, flora and fauna take centre stage. It is a nine-hole course approved by the Italian Golf Federation, par 33, which the club describes as technically interesting for the variety of its holes.
The round opens with the only par 5, the Bonzano, and continues alternating four par 4s and four par 3s. Every hole bears a proper name: Cascina Faletta (2), La Scamuzza (3), Riccardo Coppo (4), Vicara (5), Keep Out Bracelets (6), Gaudio (7), Uva Matris (8) and, to close, a par 3 named after Angelini Paolo.
Playing Golf Club Monferrato as a guest
The club is closed on Mondays. Under the 2026 price list the weekday green fee, valid Tuesday to Friday excluding public holidays, costs €20 for 9 holes and €25 for 18; on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (Saturday counts as a public holiday) it rises to €30 and €40. For under-19s the green fee is €15. The rates do not include the Federation and ACSI memberships, payable separately.
You can hire the electric trolley (€15), the manual trolley (€5 for outside visitors), the bag (€15) and the golf cart: €30 for 18 holes and €20 for nine, by reservation. Those looking to save can buy the ten-green-fee package: €225 for weekdays and €315 for public holidays.
The club: clubhouse, practice area and lessons
The clubhouse looks onto a large panoramic terrace, designed for meeting after the round and watching the sunset over the hills. For practice there is a driving range with 15 bays, 6 of them covered, and a natural terrace, as well as a putting green and a pitching green; the daily practice-area entry costs €10 with two tokens included.
Individual lessons are given by a PGA professional, and anyone who has never picked up a club can take advantage of the beginners’ offer: first lesson free and three practice-area entries included. The club also offers a number of apartments in the historic centre of Casale Monferrato, a few minutes away by road.
