The Golf Club Casentino course: 13 holes on the Pratomagno

The layout is hilly, at 500 metres of altitude on the slopes of the Pratomagno. The club describes it through three natural hazards that mark every hole: trees, lakes and slopes. The website speaks of 13 holes arranged in two courses, Palazzo and Tinzinosa, and of an extension to 18 that is still under way.

The course has grown in stages: holes 10 and 11 were rated in 2013, and the club lists the X, XI, XII and XIII as recent additions. From the tee the view runs towards Monte Falterona and the Sacro Monte della Verna, now part of the Foreste Casentinesi National Park.

Par and yardages are not published on the club’s website, so they are not given here; for the scorecard it is best to ask at the office.

The club: history, management and facilities

The facility is owned by the Municipality of Poppi and the Province of Arezzo and run by ASD Casentino Golf Club Arezzo; in January 2025 the local press reported that the association had won a twelve-year concession through a municipal tender.
