Facts checked on 18/10/2026

In 2014 the land at Campodoglio was a plain without a single fold. Today, at Chiari, between Brescia and Bergamo, it has artificial hills, lakes and Scottish-style bunkers: the project with which the agronomist Fulvio Bani built, and opened in 2015, what the club presents as the longest nine-hole course in Lombardy.

At a glance

  • 9 holes, par 36, over 3,000 metres: the club bills it as the longest in Lombardy
  • Designed by the agronomist Fulvio Bani, built in 2014 and opened in 2015 on 24 hectares
  • 9-hole green fee from 22 euros on weekdays (2026 price list), closed on Mondays
  • Practice range of over 260 metres and two academies with PGA teachers

The Campodoglio Golf course: 9 holes, par 36, inspired by links

The design is by Fulvio Bani, a doctor of agronomy, and began with a perfectly flat 24-hectare site. To give variety to the shots the land was reshaped with mounds and hollows, which also serve to channel excess water towards the drainage system linked to the lakes that accompany several holes: the collected water is then reused for irrigation. The result, in the club's words, is a course that is always dry.

The design recalls the British links: strategic dog legs, water hazards and the characteristic Scottish bunkers. At over 3,000 metres for par 36 it is, according to the club, the longest nine-hole course in Lombardy, and the four tees allow the difficulty to be adjusted: at the 1st, an opening par 4 with out of bounds on the left and a raised green defended by two bunkers, the distance ranges from 334 to 394 metres.

The greens, of about 500 square metres, are built to the method recommended by the USGA and sown with Agrostis stolonifera of the Barracuda variety; tees, fairways and rough use a mix of ryegrass, poa and fescue. The holes are played twice to complete 18, with different tee positions that change the character of the round.

Playing at Campodoglio Golf as a guest

Guests are welcome. The 2026 price list sets a green fee of 22 euros for 9 holes on weekdays and 28 euros on public holidays; the all-day option costs 29 euros during the week and 38 euros at the weekend. For frequent players there is a 10 green fee package (180 euros for 9 weekday holes, 230 euros for the all-day option), while juniors pay about half. A hand trolley is hired for 5 euros, and entry to the practice range costs 10 euros.

The club is closed on Mondays; from Tuesday to Friday it opens from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, on Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 am. To book a tee time, contact the secretary's office (+39 349 2117105, [email protected]).

From May 2026 the Miduik, the nine-hole midweek competition, is played on Thursdays and returns with evening shotgun starts at 5:30 pm: a convenient format also for those who just want a round after work.

The club: clubhouse, academies and circuits

Since 2015 the club has welcomed members and guests in a British-style clubhouse with a secretary's office, pro shop, changing rooms and a bistro with outdoor terrace overlooking the course, open to non-players too for breakfasts, lunches, aperitifs and dinners. The Golf'US pro shop sells clothing and footwear from the main brands.

For practice there is a range of over 260 metres, the putting green and a short-game area. The two academies, led by the PGA professionals Alfredo Da Corte and Andrea Zanardelli, offer courses for beginners, competitive players and juniors, with technical analysis and club fitting.

The competition calendar is full: Clans's Challenge (12 team and pairs events), Race to Folgaria (8 events, with a final in the mountains), Summertime (5 events) and The King (10 events with a final among the best 12). On 7 June 2025 the D-Day by Manulux also returned, an 18-hole event with a dinner built around Brescian spit-roast.

Curiosities about Campodoglio Golf

  • From plain to hills: the original land was flat; the undulations seen today are all built.
  • Water that returns to the course: the drainage carries water to the lakes and the club recovers it to irrigate the course.
  • American-style greens: they are built to the USGA method, the one used on the world's most celebrated courses, at about 500 square metres each.
  • Thursday evenings: from 2026 the Miduik features shotgun starts at 5:30 pm for nine holes at the end of the day.
  • Away team: the club organises golf trips for members, such as those to Follonica in April 2025 and to Folgaria.
