Galzignano Resort Terme & Golf

The Galzignano Golf Club is a 9-hole course running through the resort park: more than 200 hectares in the protected area of the Euganean Hills, with wide open spaces broken up by woods and ponds. The Golf Club is open all year: 8.30 am to 7.30 pm in summer, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm in winter.

The practice area has covered and open-air bays, plus a putting green, pitching green and chipping green; a token for 30 balls costs €2.50. Bags, irons, trolleys and golf carts can be rented (€20 for 9 holes, €30 for 18). The club house has a bar, restaurant, pro shop and changing rooms; out on the course, the Fuoco Bistrot serves light lunches, aperitifs over the green and grilled dinners.

The 9-hole green fee runs from €35 to €45, depending on season and day (weekday or holiday). Players need a FIG card, except on beginner courses. The Golf Academy, led by Luca Pannone, gives lessons by appointment every day from 9 am to 7 pm: beginners get their equipment for the whole course, and children can start from age 6.

To widen the game, the resort offers the Golf at the Spa package, with green fees on 3 courses, access to the thermal pools and the spa. The resort's partner clubs include Golf della Montecchia (27 holes, designed by Tom Macauley), Golf Club Padova (founded in 1962) and Golf Frassanelle (18 holes, designed by Marco Croze in 1990).

The resort brings together three 4-star hotels with 300 rooms in all: 91 at the Splendid, 112 at the Sporting and 97 at the Majestic. The Majestic is the modern, eco-friendly design hotel, set in a 350,000 m² natural park. The Sporting and Splendid are more traditional, spa-style hotels: the Sporting, with a piano in the hall and space for art exhibitions, is the one the resort calls the favourite of international guests; the Splendid has spacious rooms with a balcony and views of the hills, and a conference centre.

The Majestic and Splendid share pools, restaurant and thermal centre, while the Sporting has its own. Small and medium-sized pets (up to 25 kg) are allowed on request, one per room. There is an EV charging point, and check-in is from 3 pm.

The resort's indoor and outdoor pools hold thermal water at 37°, with whirlpool tubs and a Kneipp path in the park. The mud is made from thermal water and clay from a lake near Arquà Petrarca, matures for at least 60 days and is applied at 38-40 °C, followed by an ozone bath. The centre also offers inhalations, hydrokinesitherapy and acupuncture, with health-service agreements at the ticket price.

The Revital Wellness & Spa is open daily from 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm, closed on 25 December and 1 January; hotel guests have free access.

The Aqua Restaurant at the Majestic focuses on flavours of the sea; the Terra Restaurant at the Sporting, open every day for dinner from 7.30 to 9.30 pm, serves seasonal Italian and Veneto cooking. Bistrot degli Ulivi and the Pool Bar complete the offer.

The Tennis Club has 6 clay courts (two covered and heated in winter) and a natural-grass Wimbledon-style court. Children from 4 to 11 have the Kids' Club; for cyclists, there are e-bikes with Bosch motors to ride the Hills.

The resort is at Viale delle Terme 84, Galzignano Terme. The nearest airport is Venice Marco Polo, about 60 km away, with a paid transfer; Battaglia Terme station is a 5-minute walk. By car, leave the Padua-Bologna motorway at Terme Euganee: central Padua is about 20 minutes away.

• Grass-court greenkeepers. The natural-grass tennis court is looked after by the same gardeners who tend the golf greens.
• UNESCO reserve. The Euganean Hills became a UNESCO MAB Biosphere Reserve in 2024.
• Water at 87 degrees. The resort says the thermal water, which starts in the Pre-Alps, resurfaces at this temperature.
• Bistrot on the course. The Fuoco Bistrot sits by the club house, with the grill front and centre.
