The Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico course: 18 holes by Ronald Kirby

The 18 holes measure 5,875 metres for a par 72 and wind through olive groves, vineyards, bunkers and artificial lakes: an Abruzzo farming landscape rather than an English-style park. The design is by Ronald Kirby, an American architect whom the club presents as one of the best known in his country.

According to the club the holes are technical and demanding but enjoyable, and the moderate length takes nothing away from the course: the fact that professional events are played here proves it. In 2009 the course hosted the golf tournament of the Mediterranean Games in Pescara, and the club reports hosting an Italian leg of the Alps Tour for nine consecutive years, the latest in April.

Playing Golf Il Cerreto di Miglianico as a guest

The club is open from Tuesday to Sunday; on Monday it is closed. Tee times can also be booked online. The 2026 price list has one distinctive feature: the green fee does not change between weekdays and public holidays, 55 euros for 18 holes and 35 for nine. Anyone planning to return several times can take a package of ten green fees for 18 holes at 500 euros.

There are also agreements with discounts of 20 to 25 per cent, including Green Pass, Tourist Golf and Hapimag. The fleet has 20 golf buggies, at 50 euros for 18 holes and 35 for nine; an electric trolley costs 15 euros, a manual one 5.

The club: swimming pool, restaurant and academy

The clubhouse revolves around the outdoor swimming pool, with gazebos that give shade in summer, and the air-conditioned rooms of the restaurant, which focuses on local produce and also caters for banquets and events. For practice there are two practice areas and three federation-qualified instructors for individual lessons; there is also a pro shop.

The club states its main aim as youth development, and supports the Abruzzo professional Luca D’Andreamatteo.
