Golf in Molise has the flavour of a homecoming: the Varvarusa Golf Club in Filignano was born in 1998 from the passion of a few locals who had returned from emigration in Scotland, Germany and other countries, bringing the game back with them.
The name comes from "Valley of Roses", after the wild roses that grow in the area. A par-72 nine-hole course in the Molise countryside: a discreet stop for anyone looking for the Italy that is less travelled.
