Posia has no course of its own, but it names Acaya Golf Club as its official partner, a 15-minute drive away. The front desk books a tee time at the hour you prefer and arranges equipment rental and a tailored transfer.

The course, designed by the American firm Hurdzan/Fry, is a par 71 of 6,192 metres through olive trees and Mediterranean scrub. The club says it was laid out to make players reach for all fourteen clubs in the bag. It was the first course in southern Italy to earn five BVGA stars, an international course rating. Posia singles out the stretch with a waterfall between the 11th and 12th; another hole has a long green split by a transverse dip that the club likens to the famous Biarritz hole at Yale University Golf Club.

The hotel faces the seafront promenade at San Foca, on Salento's Adriatic coast, and belongs to the UNA Esperienze collection. The Apulian regional register lists it with 23 rooms and a five-star luxury rating.

Seaview rooms have a private terrace over the water; Grand Deluxe rooms look onto the pool. On the ground floor, some rooms come with a private mini-pool, unheated, and a veranda, and sleep up to two adults and two children. The two suites are the Grand Suite Posia on the first floor, at 58 m², and Suite Mora on the second, at 52 m²: both have sea views, a walk-in wardrobe and a view of the lobby's green wall.

Up on the roof is the heated infinity pool, kept for adults only and bookable for a limited number of guests at a time; the Sky Pool, 23 metres long and unheated, is open to children too.

My SPA has a thermal circuit with a 34 °C indoor pool, water jets and a whirlpool that continues outdoors into a Japanese-style garden, plus a sauna, Turkish bath and Finnish shower. The team also offers Ayurvedic treatments, and the Technogym gym is open around the clock.

At Aura, contemporary Italian cooking comes with a view of the Adriatic. In summer the Mora Mora beach club adds a private white-sand beach and a seafood bistro; its 2026 season ended in early October.

• Beyond the sea: the hotel says that from the suites you can make out the Balkans across the Adriatic.
• Shirodhara on a Dhroni table: the spa uses the traditional wooden Ayurvedic massage table and the herbal poultices of Pinda Sweda.
• Charging for Porsches: under a deal with the carmaker, Porsche drivers charge their cars for free; EV charging points are open to every guest.
• An ITACA-certified building: according to the hotel, about 40% of its hot water is heated by solar power.
